Turn off Hwy 20 here and proceed to Mazama. The slide also diverted creeks from their culverts, saturating the roadbed, according to the ranger district. Beautiful drive, a bit bumpy in places, but any crossover suv should be able to make it no problem. We dont mean to brag (or maybe we do), but Washingtons scenic byways are second to none. This was a drive up to Harts Pass, and then a short day hike over to Meadows Campground, at about 6500 elevation in mid June. If you do not see any markers on the map, try zooming in one or two levels using "+" on the top left side. This section of the road can be very rugged and narrow and places and is suitable for high clearance vehicles only. 2022 Hart's Pass Snow Conditions I'll be hiking SOBO this year and I am concerned with the snow conditions in Washington this year.
