Now, having laid this foundation, in my next teaching I will move on to the topic of the Body of Christ, which is, next to the glory of Jesus (Who reveals the Godhead), the most important topic and the most wonderful truth in all the universe. In other words, one cannot have a true, saving knowledge of the Father unless the Son touches his or her soul with spiritual revelation. Jesus’s glory as God was veiled in human flesh but at times His glory, the so-called Shekinah glory, was revealed. Throughout his life on earth, Jesus was just as human as any one of us, subject to the same emotional experiences of sorrow, pain, and hurt which any man experiences. It is only first step toward saving faith. What an incredible statement! The transfiguration of Jesus Christ was a powerful demonstration of His divine nature and manifestation of His glory, which Jesus possessed prior to coming to earth in the human body. During his earthly life and ministry, Jesus was omniscient, but did not know the time of the second coming. And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. I am reminded of the words of Andrew Murray over a hundred years ago, when he wrote: I have not been afraid of continuously repeating this one thought: Our one need is, to know Jesus better; the one cure for all our feebleness, to look to Him on the throne of heaven, and really claim the heavenly life he waits to impart. But please bear with me and read it thoughtfully, even if it takes two sessions. Our modern understanding of the size of our universe leads us to the conclusion that Isaiah was engaging in understatement, rather than poetic exaggeration. But, if there are possibly billions or trillions of other universes, we can (he implies) readily dismiss the evidence for God�s design in our own universe as just a one-in-a-trillion chance!
